McCarthy: Tom Clements will remain 'very involved in the game plan'

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy took the offensive play-calling duties away from associate head coach Tom Clements before the team's Week 14 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, but that decision doesn't mark the end of his influence.

Earlier this week, McCarthy confirmed that Clements will remained "very involved" in the offensive game plan.

Via Ryan Wood of Press-Gazette Media:

Green Bay's offense was strong and balanced with McCarthy calling the plays. The Packers racked up over 200 passing yards and 200 rushing yards, as they methodically beat the Cowboys by 21 points. When Clements was calling the plays, the offense wasn't rarely that efficient.

With McCarthy back in command, the Packers may be on the cusp of a late-season surge.
