Packers get three major contributors back at practice

The Green Bay Packers are getting healthier, as three key starters returned to practice this week. Safety Morgan Burnett (calf), wide receiver Davante Adams (ankle) and right guard T.J. Lang (knee) all rejoined their healthy teammates on Wednesday, according to Ryan Wood of Press-Gazette Media.

Burnett has missed all but one game this season. Adams has missed the past two, and Lang has not missed any. All three players could be active this weekend, if they feel good enough to give it a go against the San Diego Chargers at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

"My philosophy is that if they're healthy, they play," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said, per Press-Gazette Media. "If they're not healthy, then they shouldn't play. How do you define health? I'm not going to get into that. It's an NFL season. After the first game everybody has been through how many car wrecks? What these guys do for a living is so unique. So no one is 100 percent, and won't be for some time. That's not the goal. But if you're healthy enough, they play. That's always been our status."

Safety Sheldon Richardson (neck) was placed on injured reserve this week. The only other Packers who missed practice on Wednesday were nose tackle B.J. Raji (groin) and outside linebacker Nick Perry (shoulder).
