Giants CB Amukamara inactive against Tampa Bay

New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara and linebacker Keith

Rivers are inactive for their game against the Tampa Bay

Buccaneers.

Amukamara was projected as a starter for the Super Bowl

champions after Terrell Thomas was lost for the second straight

season with a knee injury. He has missed both regular-season games

with a high ankle sprain. Rookie Jayron Hosley got the start

Sunday.

Rivers has a hamstring injury.

Bucs starting right tackle Jeremy Trueblood was inactive with an

ankle injury. Demar Dotson replaced him.

Defensive tackle Marvin Austin, the Giants’ second-round draft

pick in 2011, was active for the first time in his career. He

missed last season with a pectoral injury and the opener against

Dallas with back issues.
