First Look: Oakland Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills

First look at the upcoming Week 13 matchup between the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills.

Both the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills come into this matchup with winning records and riding winning streaks. The Bills are 6-5 on a two-game streak, while the Raiders are 9-2 and on a five-game streak.

Buffalo’s defense is ranked 12th in points allowed, giving up an average of 21.5 points per game, and they are 8th in yards allowed per game, at 341.9.

The Raiders offense is ranked 5th in points scored, averaging 27.9 points per game. And they also rank 5th in total yards per game, with 390.9.

The Billo Offense is ranked 8th in points scored, averaging 25.5 points per game. Oakland’s defense is ranked 23rd in points allowed, giving up an average of 25 points per game.

The Bills have not beat the Raiders in California since 1991. That was a 31-27 overtime win in Los Angeles. The last time the Raiders lost to the Bills in Oakland was 1966.

Since the Raiders last winning season in 2002, they are 3-2 overall against the Bills. The Raiders lead the lifetime series against Buffalo, 20-19.

The Bills are currently on the outside looking in at the playoff picture. They have been an up and down team in 2016. Their season has been all about streaks (L2, W4, L3, W2).

The Bills come in with the #1 rushing offense in the NFL and I look for them to mirror the same offensive game plan the Chiefs used to dominate the Raiders in Week 6.

We will find out how far the Raiders run defense has come along since then.
