Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 14: WR Brandon Marshall
When it comes to Week 14 Fantasy Football, wide receiver Brandon Marshall of the New York Jets serves as a WR2 start in all leagues.
Wide receiver Brandon Marshall of the New York Jets is not having anywhere near the season he had with the team the previous year. With the entire offense and defense shutting down this year, many Jets individuals and the team as a whole have been unattractive when it comes to fantasy football waivers, pickups, and even plugging them into line-ups.
However, despite Marshall’s poor NFL and fantasy season in which he’s only recorded four double-digit performances in standard leagues, he’s worth starting in Week 14. Marshall serves as a solid WR2 start despite the Jets making a change at quarterback.
The San Francisco 49ers defense is arguably the worst defense in the entire league. In all but one category, San Francisco ranks as the worst defense in points allowed per game, total yards allowed, and rushing yards allowed each game.
Their one decent ranking is that they’re the 14th best defense in passing yards allowed each game. The Jets offense is nothing special ranking as the 24th best offense in total yards per game and 29th in points per game. They are 27th in passing yards and 16th in rushing yards each game.
More from The Jet Press
The door to the 49ers and Jets playoff hopes has officially closed. With Ryan Fitzpatrick finally benched and Bryce Petty starting for the remainder of the season, Jets Nation will now have four weeks to determine whether or not he is the answer going forward. Despite the rookie quarterback switch, Marshall still serves as a WR2 start primarily for the 49ers defensive stats and for the veteran receiver’s history during their last matchup.
The last time Marshall faced the 49ers defense, the wide out recorded three touchdowns with the Chicago Bears. Even with Petty manning the quarterback position and taking a liking to Robby Anderson as his main target, Marshall’s stock is definitely high for this week of fantasy football. Especially against a defense ranked as the worst defense in all but one category.

Start Marshall as a WR2 this week since given the targets, should torch the 49ers secondary and post his fifth double-digit standard league performance.
