Ex-Broncos RB Montee Ball won't face felony in domestic case
MADISON, Wis. (AP) Former Wisconsin and Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball won't face felony charges after an apparent argument with his girlfriend.
Prosecutors charged Ball on Monday with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, for an incident at a downtown Madison hotel early Friday. The woman told police she and Ball were arguing when he threw her in the air and she landed on a table, cutting her leg.
A criminal complaint says Ball also was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly striking the woman on the face five days earlier.
The Wisconsin State Journal (http://bit.ly/1RjygCj ) reports defense attorney Erika Bierma declined comment.
Ball was released from jail Monday. He is due back in court March 1.
Ball was a second-round draft pick by the Broncos in 2013 after scoring 83 touchdowns for the Badgers. He was cut before the regular season started in 2015.
