Eagles at Cowboys Recap, Highlights, Final Score, More
The Dallas Cowboys extend their NFC East lead thanks to an overtime win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football
PhiladelphiaEagles23
After struggling for most of the night, rookie quarterback Dak Prescott showed up when it counted most and led the Dallas Cowboys to their sixth-straight win, toppling a divisional rival in the Philadelphia Eagles in the process.
It was an exciting game, with an even more exciting finish. The Cowboys went up 10-3 early, but surrendered 17 unanswered points to the Eagles. For most of the night Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz dominated the battle of the rookies, but it was Prescott in the end who shook off a bad outing to lead a great comeback.
After getting 10 points in the final quarter, Dallas was able to force overtime. Dallas never gave the ball to Philly after winning the toss, even converting a fourth-down play to ensure the game would end the way they wanted it to. The game ended with a beautiful play from the rookie quarterback, who spun out of the collapsing pocket to find a wide-open Jason Witten for the score.
Three Stars
Dez Bryant, Cowboys — After missing three games, Dez was back with a vengeance. His first reception went for 53 yards and he finished with four receptions for 113 yards on the night, including a sick touchdown catch.
Darren Sproles, Eagles — The end result wasn’t what Sproles wanted, but he was spectacular in this game. He had 86 yards on 15 rushes, but it was his ability to make players miss when the blocks weren’t there that kept drives going for the Eagles all night.
Sean Lee, Cowboys — The defense had a lot to do with this win, and Sean Lee was the heartbeat of that defense. He finished with 11 tackles, two for a loss, and was all over the field.
