Lions G Tomlinson played every single snap in win over Bears
Laken Tomlinson struggled mightily in his first few NFL games, as his team got off to an 0-5 start. However, during the Detroit Lions’ first win of the season, the rookie offensive lineman was outstanding.
Tomlinson played every single snap at left guard and performed well in a 37-34, overtime win against the Chicago Bears, according to Lions senior writer Tim Twentyman.

Tomlinson was one of four players who did not miss an offensive snap on Sunday (quarterback Matthew Stafford, left tackle Riley Reiff and center Travis Swanson were the others). Manny Ramirez took on a reserve role, as Larry Warford handled 91 percent of the snaps at right guard, according to Justin Rogers of MLive.com.
The Lions’ offensive line is starting to come together, as Detroit produced a season-high 155 rushing yards against the Bears in Week 6. The team was averaging a league-low 49 rushing yards per game before Sunday’s win.
Tomlinson was the team’s first-round pick in this year’s draft (28th overall). After a slow start, the former Duke Blue Devil is finally starting to look like a smart pick.
