Broncos might need a Vernon Davis replacement for Raiders week

Published Dec. 8, 2015 8:57 p.m. ET

The Broncos might need Owen Daniels to expose Oakland's terrible tight end defense.

Vernon Davis might not be ready in time. He suffered an early concussion against the San Diego Chargers and is questionable for Week 14.

Davis was forced to exit the game entirely, which means he's subject to the full breadth of the league's concussion protocol. He had only 25 yards in the game.

It'll be up to Daniels third-stringer Virgil Green to torch the Raiders if Davis can't. Oakland has surrendered the most tight end touchdowns (11) in professional football this season.
