With no one from the Broncos’ final cuts being ‘claimed’ off of waivers by anyone, this is about as great a scenario as they could have imagined. There are rumors that the team was trying to bring back wide receiver/kick returner Kalif Raymond to the practice squad, but that he has received interest elsewhere in the league.

The Broncos’ most shocking move here is the ability to retain Juwan Thompson, who made the team originally as an undrafted player out of Duke in 2014. He could certainly get called up to the active roster at any point if the Broncos have any injury issues at either running back or fullback.

The other additions are pretty exciting here. Dillon Day is a player that many thought would wind up on the active roster the way Gary Kubiak talked about him this offseason. Henry Krieger-Coble is an undrafted player that many thought could contend for the no. 3 tight end spot.

Ryan Murphy was infamously sent home from the Super Bowl at the end of last season, and Taurean Nixon was one of the team’s three seventh round picks in 2015. Vontarrius Dora was a terror for opposing offensive lines at times in the preseason, and Justin Murray is a developmental tackle.

You also have to love the inclusion of Mose Frazier on this list. The Broncos certainly see the value in having Frazier aboard short term as Paxton Lynch acclimates to the NFL. Why not keep his top target from their Memphis days together around?
