Cowboys' Morris Claiborne will undergo MRI on Monday

Published Nov. 15, 2015 11:44 p.m. ET

Dallas Cowboys starting cornerback Morris Claiborne injured his right hamstring early in the second quarter of the team's 10-6 Week 10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was not able to return to the game. Claiborne said after the game that he hurt his hamstring, and he told the Dallas News that he will undergo an MRI on his hamstring Monday.

"That's when it started kind of pulling on me. After that, it just got worse and worse as it went on," Claiborne said, per the Dallas News. "I couldn't even run at one point."

After the injury, Claiborne briefly played through it before exiting the game just before halftime.

"But as of now, apparently it wasn't good because I couldn't finish the game," Claiborne said. "It can't be that good because I didn't finish the game."

The Cowboys will be tested at cornerback -- given their lack of depth at the position -- if Claiborne is forced to miss any game action at all.
