Dez Bryant: Only Michael Jordan has better shoe game than my 3,000 pairs of kicks

There's a war going on inside the Dallas Cowboys locker room -- one that features rookie sensations Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.

This conflict isn't about who runs the team or deserves the credit for Dallas' outstanding performance so far this NFL season, though. No, something much more important is on the line: bragging rights.

You see, Prescott is an Adidas guy, while Elliott rolls with Nike. And for much of the past month or so, the Cowboys running back has been trolling his quarterback over his shoe choices:

However, neither Prescott nor Elliott can come close to Dez Bryant's shoe collection, as the Cowboys wide receiver made clear this week.

Via the Star-Telegram:

“Nobody has better shoe game than me, beside Jordan himself,” Bryant boasted on Thursday. “(My teammates) are too busy worrying about the next new thing I’m going to have on my feet. I give them something fresh. I’m not wearing a shoe after it releases.

“When it releases I’m done with it. I get my shoes six months to a year early. I’m already in January 2017 right now."

Indeed, Bryant -- who's one of Jordan Brand's signature athletes -- is never shy about sharing his latest additions on Twitter and Instagram:

But just how many kicks does the Dallas star have? Even he's not sure, to be honest:

“I have over 2,000,” Bryant said. “No, I will say between 3,000 and 3,500. I’m thinking about my closets. And I have this locker room in my hallway filled up. I have two rooms filled up with shoes. My garage is filled up with shoes. My other garage is filled. It’s between 3,000 and 3,500. I’m going to have to tweet y’all a picture.”

Bryant says he gets 50 pairs of shoes a month from Nike. He doesn’t wear all the shoes and plans to give them away to charity at some point.

Of course, Bryant's shoe game extends to the field, where he often rocks some of the cleanest Jordan-inspired cleats you'll ever see:

I will take three of those in non-cleat form as soon as possible, please. Thanks for looking out.
