Mike Pereira's final word on Dez Bryant: 'Nobody likes this rule' but that was not a catch

The Dez Bryant catch controversy isn't going away, but if there's one person qualified to settle the debate once and for all, it is FOX NFL rules expert Mike Pereira.

Bryant's overturned, fourth-quarter, fourth-down catch has put the terms "process of the catch" and "going to the ground" at the forefront of the Packers' 26-21 win over the Cowboys on Sunday.

But Pereira, in the video above, breaks it down one more time, saying: "I don't agree he made a football move, certainly not in the context of the rule. He's going to the ground, the ball pops out then."

The infamous Calvin Johnson non-touchdown is the same rule that was cited with Bryant on Sunday.

Said Pereira: "Nobody likes this rule ... but it wasn't a [touchdown] by the rule."
