Daily Dawg Tags: One week removed from primetime
Spanning the virtual globe to bring you the latest news about the Cleveland Browns and the NFL – these are your Daily Dawg Tags for Thursday, Nov. 17.
It may have been naive to think the Cleveland Browns would pick up a win last Thursday in Baltimore. The team was 0-9 and gave fans no reason to believe a victory could be had, but it was Thursday football so the optimism train got started a bit early.
It was all for naught, as the Browns managed to put up seven points with two different quarterbacks. The move to replace Cody Kessler with Josh McCown may have shocked some fans, but it did not make much of a difference in the final outcome.
One week later, the talk of Robert Griffin III playing again this season has begun. And if he is healthy, there is no reason he shouldn’t get a chance. He opened the season as the starter, so perhaps Hue Jackson saw something in him that could lead the team to a victory. Perhaps not, but it’s worth a shot.
Let’s look at that news and more in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
