Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says Barry Church, Morris Claiborne to miss multiple games

The Dallas Cowboys apparently will be shorthanded in their secondary for the foreseeable future. Owner Jerry Jones said on local radio that safety Barry Church and cornerback Morris Claiborne will be out at least a month, maybe more.

“I’m going to just say in both cases we’re probably looking at anywhere from a month to six weeks,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday. “But that’s just really a guesstimate.”

Church fractured his forearm Sunday against the Eagles while Claiborne suffered a groin injury. Claiborne has played in all seven games, recording 26 tackles and one interception. Chruch also hasn't missed a game this season and has 45 tackles with two interceptions.

The Cowboys are leading the NFC with a 6-1 record despite not having Tony Romo this season and Dez Bryant for three games due to a knee injury.

Dallas does catch a break this week, playing the winless Browns in Cleveland. But will these latest injuries derail the Cowboys’ playoff hopes?
