Dallas Cowboys rookie cornerback Anthony Brown is the latest in a long line of NFL cornerbacks Steve Smith has agitated over his 16-year career.

After the Cowboys won their franchise-record ninth consecutive game, Brown said he came into the game respecting the Ravens veteran wideout, who hauled in his 1,000th career reception, but all that changed Sunday.

“I had respect for him before the game, but after the game I have no respect for him anymore,” Brown said, via the Dallas Morning News. “He's a real character, and I actually saw it for myself [Sunday]. I don't got nothing to say about Steve Smith.”

So what was the reason for Brown’s about-face? Smith’s affinity for getting into his opponents’ heads.

“Coming into the game they already told me what kind of player he was,” Brown said. “But until you see it for yourself, then you're just, 'calm down,' but it's hard because he keeps yapping after every play. It's kind of hard.”

Smith’s production might have also gotten under Brown’s skin. He finished with a game-high eight catches for 99 yards and a touchdown.
