Colts' Antonio Cromartie brings anthem protest to London showcase game

Published Nov. 15, 2016 2:04 p.m. ET

With the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars squaring off in London this week, it was unknown if the national anthem protests would continue outside of the U.S. Neither squad made a team-wide gesture to protest the anthem as some have recently, but one player continued his stand.

Colts cornerback Antonio Cromartie took a knee and raised his fist during the singing of the national anthem, a gesture he made last week as well. During the British anthem, ''God Save The Queen,'' Cromartie stood.

Cromartie was the only player to protest the anthem before the game, as no Jaguars made any sort of gesture. This of course follows a trend spreading throughout the NFL, which was started by Colin Kaepernick.

Other players protesting the anthem this season include Marcus Peters, Arian Foster, Devin McCourty and Martellus Bennett.
