In recent weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the worst teams in the NFL, giving up 90 points in their last two games. That has done a lot to fuel speculation that their head coach, Chip Kelly, is going to be taking his talents back to the college game or possibly another spot in the NFL.

One of the openings in the college game that people have associated Kelly with was back on the west coast with the USC Trojans. When the school decided to make interim coach Clay Helton their full time coach for next season, much of the attention was paid to Kelly and if he ever was a serious contender for the job. Kelly met with the media in Philly on Monday and discussed the situation.

At 4-7 and a game looming next week against the New England Patriots, it’s not clear how much longer the Eagles will want Kelly to be their coach.
