By the end of this past week of practice, Long knew his hand would be strong enough to go without a cast, according to Arthur Arkush of ChicagoFootball.com.
Kyle Long said today his hand is doing well, no more club. “Water under the bridge” said the #Bears’ starting RT.

Long wore the cast in last week’s loss against the Seattle Seahawks, as his gritty performances continue to be a highpoint for a winless Bears team. Adding to the trouble of punching and blocking through a hand injury, the third-year offensive lineman is playing tackle for the first time this season (he was a Pro Bowler at guard each of the past two seasons).
Long needs both hands healthy and ready to hit in Week 4, as he goes head-to-head with a fierce pass-rusher in Oakland’s Khalil Mack.
