John Fox has 'no doubt' his Bears will turn things around

A good head coach should have confidence in his team to get the job done.

Recently, Chicago Bears head coach John Fox voiced support for the direction of his team. Although the Bears are 2-4 and heading into the bye week after an overtime loss to the previously winless Detroit Lions, Fox remains upbeat and positive about his squad's future.

"In my mind there’s no doubt we’re going to get there," Fox said, per ESPN's Jeff Dickerson. "It’s hard for me to put an exact time frame on it."

The Bears shouldn't give up hope for this season just yet, but the team may not be able to turn things around this year. The all-new coaching staff is still dealing with several holdovers from the previous regime. Fox's first batch of rookies and free agency acquisitions may not have a full grasp of his system until next season.

Still, the 60-year-old head coach is pleased with what he's seen so far in 2015.

"It's getting guys that are willing to put in the time and the effort and to do the right thing at the right time," Fox said, via ESPN. "I've been pleased with the way our guys have gone about it. I think we've been in most of the contests to this point and now it's just figuring out how to win consistently, and we're not there yet by any stretch but I think we're moving in the right direction."

If Fox can clean things up in Chicago just a bit, the Bears will be contenders again in no time.
