The NFL's most powerful man, league commissioner Roger Goodell, is in attendance at Soldier Field for the Chicago Bears' season opener versus the Green Bay Packers.

The Bears shared a photo of Goodell shaking hands with head coach John Fox before the game on their official Twitter account.

Goodell has always had his detractors, but the commissioner has become a particularly polarizing figure in the wake of the Deflategate scandal involving New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who was last season's Super Bowl MVP. Brady and the Patriots kicked off the NFL season against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, but Goodell did not attend the game.

For Goodell, at the moment, Chicago is probably a warmer city to watch a football game than Foxborough.
