Chicago Bears starting free safety Chris Harris vowed Friday that he would be able to play Sunday despite a hip injury, as the team looks to advance to the Super Bowl.

"If I couldn't have gone today, I think I still would have been fine for Sunday,'' Harris told the Chicago Tribune after practicing Friday.

Harris, however, said he would not stay in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the archrival Packers unless he feels he can help the team.

If the six-year veteran cannot play, he would be replaced by rookie Major Wright, with Danieal Manning starting at strong safety.
