SEATTLE (AP) Starting strong safety Kam Chancellor missed his second straight game for the Seattle Seahawks with Jeron Johnson set to get his first career start.

Chancellor was doubtful for Sunday's game against the New York Giants with a groin injury. Johnson missed last week's game with a concussion, but was cleared for this week.

Seattle was also without starting left guard James Carpenter (ankle), but cornerbacks Byron Maxwell and Marcus Burley were both active. Maxwell has missed the past three games. Also inactive for Seattle was newly signed tight end Tony Moeaki.

Rashad Jennings did not make the trip for the Giants, leaving Andre Williams to start at running back. Jennings was doubtful with a knee injury. Defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka and defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins were both active despite being questionable.
