Thomas Davis was inconsolable in the locker room after Super Bowl

Many of the Carolina Panthers were crushed after losing Super Bowl 50 to the Denver Broncos.

Quarterback Cam Newton walked off the podium. Josh Norman sobbed uncontrollably on the field.

But linebacker Thomas Davis, who played with a broken right forearm in the game, showed some true grit in doing so. Davis has overcome three ACL injuries in his career to get to the NFL's pinnacle moment, so after the 24-10 loss, he was understandably inconsolable on the locker room. 

Head coach Ron Rivera had to comfort his star linebacker, who had seven tackles in the game. The Panthers, who had won 17 of 18 games going into the Super Bowl, couldn't cap their season with a Lombardi Trophy.

"We definitely had a successful season,'' Davis said. "But you know, we let so many people down. It's tough to get over that feeling.''
