Report: Mike Shula contacted about Miami Hurricanes' coaching vacancy

The offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers is doing a pretty impressive job this year. The Panthers are off to a 9-0 start, with Mike Shula's offense looking like the real deal.

Apparently, he's getting noticed in a big way as well. As Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports points out, both the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel reported that Shula has been contacted by the Miami Hurricanes about their head coaching vacancy.

Obviously we have plenty of football still to be played this year, and the Panthers are poised to do some postseason damage, but this is a story worth monitoring when the offseason gets near.
