Don Shula is pumped over Panthers' Super Bowl appearance

Don Shula was, by his own admission, a very proud dad on Sunday night.

Why? The Carolina Panthers are headed to the Super Bowl. And the Panthers’ offensive coordinator is Don’s son, Mike Shula.

Mike’s offense was dominant against the Arizona Cardinals, as the team scored 49 points in the blowout victory, with only one of those touchdowns coming from the defense. The legendary Dolphins coach wants everyone to know that he very much approves.

Did you know Don Shula has his own Twitter account? You do now!

Shula, the coach of the only undefeated team in NFL history, had previously said he hoped Carolina matched their accomplishment. It’s been a good day for Don, as judging from his previous comments about Bill Belichick and the Patriots, he probably wasn’t too upset to see New England bounced by Denver, either.
