An 8-year-old had the best response to Cam Newton's press conference

Eight-year-old Carolina Panthers fan Stephen Graham watched Cam Newton's Super Bowl press conference, in which he abruptly walked out after mumbling a few short answers, and felt he had to do something. After all, he and Cam Newton are "friends," and Stephen doesn't like seeing friends be sad.

So he got out a piece of paper and pencil and wrote the quarterback a letter.

"Dear Cam Newton, I'm sorry you lost, but here is a paper trofy," he wrote, according to USA Today.

"He's my friend," Graham explained to USA Today. "I just felt like it would make him a little happier."

Most importantly, watching Cam's press conference seemed to solidify an important life lesson that Stephen already grasps. "When a friend falls down, the other friend always picks him up," he said.
