Cam Newton on Seahawks comeback: 'There were a lot of guys playing with their butts tight'

By now you know the Carolina Panthers held off a furious second-half comeback by the Seattle Seahawks in their divisional round playoff game on Sunday.

The Panthers scored the first 31 points of the game -- all in the first half -- and the Seahawks scored the last 24 points -- all in the second half.

Does Cam Newton have any thoughts or explanation as to why the game went the way it did?

"It was just a tale of execution. We needed a little bit more of that in the second half," he said.

Care to elaborate a bit, Cam?

"There were a lot of guys playing with their butts tight, coaches with their butts tight. Hell, at one point fans and myself were butt tight too."

Well, that surely explains it.
