Bills' Sammy Watkins not worried about re-injury, 'should be out there'

It sounds like the Buffalo Bills could get a big time playmaker back this week.

Sammy Watkins has missed the past two games with a calf injury suffered in Week 3, but he appears to be on track to return against the 5-0 Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Watkins was on the field taking first-team reps on Wednesday, and said he should play this week.

"I definitely should be out there Sunday, whether I'm hurt or not," Watkins told reporters, via Joe Buscaglia. "If it pops, it pops."

Re-injury doesn't sound like it's a concern for Watkins, who just wants to get back out there and help his team in any way possible. And needless to say, the Bills need him.

Without Watkins in the lineup the past two games, the Bills have scored just 24 points and averaged 191.5 yards through the air. Last week, Percy Harvin had zero catches as Watkins' "replacement," proving just how important he is to the Bills' offense. On the year, Watkins has caught seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown, but that's in limited action. He should quickly return to being Taylor's favorite target.

In addition to Watkins making his return to Practice, LeSean McCoy did as well. He was limited, but he is reportedly ahead of schedule and recovering well from the hamstring injury. He's not certain to play Sunday, but he hasn't yet been ruled out.
