Buccaneers vs. Bears: Wednesday Injury Report
Time for the first injury report for the Buccaneers’ game on Sunday.
More from The Pewter Plank
The team sits at 3-5 and, as Zach Sauers talked about, heads into a game that could really be a turning point for the second half. Or it could send the season into the sunset, leaving the Bucs on the outside looking in at the playoff race.
But the one thing the team IS doing is getting healthy. We had a little hiccup last week with the big hit on Mike Evans, and we all had a big scare when Jameis Winston left the game last week to be replaced by Mike Glennon.
|Mike Evans||13||WR||Concussion||Full Participation|
|Joe Hawley||68||C||Knee||Limited Participation|
|Doug Martin||22||RB||Hamstring||Limited Participation|
|Clinton McDonald||98||DT||Hamstring||Limited Participation|
|Kevin Pamphile||64||G||Concussion||Did Not Participate|
|Jacquizz Rodgers||32||RB||Foot||Did Not Participate|
|Russell Shepard||89||WR||Hip||Did Not Participate|
|Jameis Winston||3||QB||Knee||Full Participation|
So it seems that both Evans and Winston are going to be OK. Koetter stated in his press conference that Evans was set to take the concussion test tonight or early tomorrow to remove him from protocol officially. But him practicing is obviously a good sign.
Oh, and Jameis is fine as well.
Here is the report for the Bears:
|Bryce Callahan||37||CB||Hamstring||Limited Participation|
|Ka’Deem Carey||25||RB||Illness||Did Not Participate|
|Eddie Goldman||91||NT||Ankle||Limited Participation|
|Deiondre’ Hall||32||CB||Ankle||Did Not Participate|
|Kyle Long||75||G||Triceps||Limited Participation|
|Pernall McPhee||92||LB||Knee||Limited Participation|
|Tracy Porter||21||CB||Knee||Limited Participation|
|Eddie Royal||19||WR||Toe||Limited Participation|
|Josh Sitton||71||G||Ankle||Limited Participation|
Nothing really major to see here, as only two guys did not practice.
We will track all of the injuries as the week progresses, with special eyes on Dougie of course.
