Brandon Flowers, Darius Philon officially inactive for Chargers on Thursday Night Football

The San Diego Chargers will be without several members of the secondary when they host the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. Brandon Flowers, Jahleel Addae and Pierre Desir will all be unavailable, meaning players like Casey Hayward and Adrian Phillips will have to step up and help shoulder the load.

Here’s a look at the inactives for the Chargers:

Joey Bosa is expected to make his first career start on Thursday night, making Darius Philon expendable. After watching Vic Beasley of the Atlanta Falcons have a field day getting after the Broncos quarterback last Sunday, Bosa has to be licking his chops.

For the Broncos, the following players will not dress for this game.

Offensive lineman Ty Sambrailo, safety Justin Simmons, quarterback Austin Davis, offensive lineman Connor McGovern, defensive end DeMarcus Ware, defensive back Lorenzo Doss, tight end Jeff Heuerman.

The Broncos will get back offensive tackle Donald Stephenson and tight end Virgil Green. In addition, Trevor Siemian, not Paxton Lynch, will start at quarterback.
