Bills DT Troup's nagging back troubles worsen

Published Nov. 28, 2011 7:42 p.m. ET

Torell Troup's nagging back troubles aren't getting any better, putting him in jeopardy of becoming the latest Buffalo Bills player to go on the season-ending injured reserve list.

Coach Chan Gailey provided the update Monday after Troup's back locked up to prevent him from playing in a 28-24 loss at the New York Jets. Gailey said test results of Troup's back were ''not good,'' and that the team would make a decision on his playing status within the next few days.

The second year player has seen limited action in six games. He's been bothered by back troubles since training camp.

The Bills (5-6) host Tennessee (6-5) on Sunday.

Gailey says cornerback Leodis McKelvin has a chance to play this weekend after hurting his ribs against the Jets.
