Bennie Logan expected to return for Philadelphia Eagles Sunday

Bennie Logan is back.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been without run-stuffing defensive tackle Bennie Logan for the last three weeks, but the team expects the fourth-year player to return against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.

Philadelphia’s pass rush has taken a major step back during Logan’s absence. Without Logan, Fletcher Cox has received more attention from opposing teams. It’s not a coincidence that Cox hasn’t recorded a sack since Week 5.

Though the return of Logan should give the Eagles a boost, the team remains ailing. Trey Burton, Brent Celek, Taylor Hart and Leodis McKelvin are all listed as questionable going into Sunday’s tilt against the Falcons. Allen Barbre and Terrence Brooks will both be inactive against the Falcons. Kamu Grugier-Hill is also listed as doubtful.

Philadelphia will have its hands full against a Falcons offense that currently ranks No. 2 in the NFL, averaging 429.2 total yards per game.
