Bengals activate Peerman, elevate long snapper

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 5:42 p.m. ET

CINCINNATI (AP) The Bengals activated running back Cedric Peerman - sidelined all season with a broken forearm - and promoted long snapper Tyler Ott to the active roster for their game Sunday in Baltimore.

Peerman gives the Bengals a top special teams player and another option with running back Giovani Bernard out for the season with a torn ACL.

Long snapper Clark Harris suffered a groin injury last Sunday and was downgraded to doubtful on Saturday. The Bengals (3-6-1) signed Ott to their practice squad earlier in the week. He played in one game for the Giants last season.

The Bengals also waived defensive tackle DeShawn Williams, a first-year player who had been inactive every game.
