Ben Roethlisberger will have MRI on knee, says ‘it obviously hurts’
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a big blow on the field with their surprising 30-15 loss to the struggling Dolphins on Sunday. But the impact to their record might be nothing compared to the potential lasting effect.
Ben Roethlisberger injured his knee in the first half Sunday and was able to return to the game, finishing 19 of 34 for 189 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. But it appears the knee injury might be more serious than originally thought.
Roethlisberger told the NFL Network that he will have an MRI on his knee and that the injury “obviously hurts”.
This couldn’t come at a worse time for the Steelers, who host the Patriots next Sunday.
