Ravens add RB Terrance West to active roster

Published Nov. 18, 2015 10:42 p.m. ET

Just one after after joining the Ravens' practice squad, running back Terrance West was promoted to the active roster Wednesday.

West, a second-year back out of Towson originally drafted in the third round by Cleveland, was released by the Titans two weeks ago. The Ravens picked him up and added him to the active roster after center Jeremy Zuttah was placed on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle.

West was traded to Tennessee for a conditional draft pick after wearing out his welcome in Cleveland due to concerns about his attitude and work ethic. He lost a fumble in each of his first two games with the Titans and never saw the field after that.

As a rookie, West rushed for 673 yards and four touchdowns on 171 carries.
