Playoff road map for 0-2 Baltimore Ravens: Pressure the QB

Baltimore has opened the season 0-2 for the first time since John Harbaugh became head coach in 2008. Here are two areas the Ravens must improve to get into the win column.

*Generate better pass-rush: The absence of outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, who is out for the season with a torn Achilles tendon, already was felt in last Sunday's loss to Oakland with the Ravens generating just one sack. Jason Babin, who was signed last week but declared inactive against the Raiders, is expected to begin working into Baltimore's pass-rush rotation.

*Better red-zone execution: The Ravens have scored touchdowns on just two of seven trips inside the opposition's 20-yard line. New offensive coordinator Marc Trestman must come up with better ideas than having quarterback Joe Flacco lob jump-ball passes to 5-foot-9 wide receiver Steve Smith in the end zone like he did three times against Oakland. The imminent debut of injured rookie wide receiver Breshad Perriman would help greatly in that regard.
