Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers Injury Report
For a second straight week, big time weapons in the receiving corps show up on the Atlanta Falcons’ injury report. One big name continues to cast an imposing shadow on the list.
Here is your injury report for the Atlanta Falcons and the San Francisco 49ers:

Atlanta Falcons:
Julio Jones has already been ruled out for this game. It looks like he couldn’t “explode pain free” the way Dan Quinn wanted him to, on Friday. The fact that the Atlanta Falcons are playing a 1-12 team might have aided in the decision to not even let Jones test the toe out in pregame.
Adrian Clayborn still hasn’t practiced following his surgery. The hope with him is that he’ll be back with the Falcons by week 17.
The severity of Jalen Collins’ knee injury is still not fully known, but he will miss the game this Sunday as a result of it. Nick Williams won’t get out of concussion protocol by Sunday. We’ve also seen the last of Kemal Ishmael this season, as he was placed on injured reserve.
It’s not all doom and gloom; however, there is some good news as well. Jake Matthews’ pair of full practices indicate that he’s over his knee injury. Mohamed Sanu looks poised to make a return to the field following his absence in Los Angeles. He’ll likely serve as Matt Ryan’s #1 target on Sunday.

San Francisco’s injury report is more about quality rather than quantity. Only two players will likely miss the game, but both are starters. Torrey Smith has already been ruled out with a concussion, making things easier for Atlanta’s depleted secondary.
The big one is Joe Staley’s injury. The star left tackle is doubtful after missing practice all week, making his outlook bleak at best. Atlanta’s pass rush should be able to get after the oft-sacked Colin Kaepernick on Sunday, from both sides of the line.
Even though they sit at an NFC-worst 1-12 record, the 49ers have delivered painful loss after painful loss to the Atlanta Falcons over the years. Atlanta must put those struggles against this team behind them as they remain in a sprint for the division title.
