ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons have placed wide receiver Leonard Hankerson on injured reserve and activated wide receiver and return specialist Devin Hester to the active roster.

Hankerson has 26 catches for 327 yards and three touchdowns but has struggled with hamstring injuries.

Hester was placed on the injured reserve-designated to return list on Oct. 6 with a turf toe injury. He has not played this season after earning his fourth Pro Bowl berth in 2014. He set a NFL record with his 20th career return for touchdowns last season, when he had 38 catches for 504 yards and two touchdowns.

The Falcons on Friday ruled out kicker Matt Bryant (right quadriceps) and tight end Tony Moeaki (hamstring) for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.
