Patrick Peterson donates $1 million to alma mater LSU

Athletes often come back and make contributions to the programs that shaped them into success stories, but not all contributions are equal, as former LSU All-American defensive back Patrick Peterson proved on Saturday.

Peterson, now an NFL cornerback with the Arizona Cardinals, announced a $1 million commitment to LSU, one of the largest single contributions to athletics by a former athlete, according to LSUsports.net.

From LSUsports.net:

Peterson’s gift includes $500,000 in cash with another $500,000 in planned giving. Peterson’s pledge will go toward the renovation of the LSU Football Operations Center.

With Peterson’s donation, LSU will name the new weight room at the Football Operations Building, “The Peterson-Roberts Weight Room.”

Pretty cool to see former players showing this much appreciation.
