Andrew Hawkins has no memory of hit that caused concussion

Andrew Hawkins suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, and his condition is concerning.

Hawkins’ brother, former NFL defensive back Artrell Hawkins, posted on Facebook about the wide receiver’s status. Artrell says Andrew “has no memory of what happened and is very confused.”

Hawkins was admitted to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Sunday. He’ll be kept overnight for observation.

The play in question occurred when Hawkins was trying to make a tackle after a Johnny Manziel interception and was hit by Jarvis Jones.

This was Hawkins’ second concussion in a matter of weeks. He missed the team’s two previous games after suffering a concussion against the St. Louis Rams on Oct. 25.
