AFC North Free Agency Capsules

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 8:36 p.m. ET

Capsules of AFC North teams heading into free agency. Available salary cap space is an estimate. The 2016 salary cap is $155.27 million per team.

BALTIMORE RAVENS (5-11)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: LT Kelechi Osemele, QB Jimmy Clausen, QB Matt Schaub, LB Chris Carter, LB Albert McClellan, LB Courtney Upshaw, WR Chris Givens, TE Allen Reisner, PK Justin Tucker (franchise tag).

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: WR Kamar Aiken, WR Marlon Brown, TE Chase Ford, SS Brynden Trawick.

NEEDS: Ravens' first task is to retain several of their own free agents, most notably Aiken and Upshaw after losing Osemele to Raiders. Uncertain status of LB Terrell Suggs, who missed most of 2015 with torn Achilles tendon, makes obtaining pass rusher a high priority. But Ravens have to decide whether to do that via free agency or with sixth overall pick in draft.

AVAILABLE SALARY CAP SPACE: $10 million.

CINCINNATI BENGALS (12-5)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: WR Marvin Jones, WR Mohamed Sanu, RT Andre Smith, OT Eric Winston, CB Adam ''Pacman'' Jones, CB Leon Hall, S George Iloka, S Reggie Nelson, LB Emmanuel Lamur, LB Vinny Rey, DE Wallace Gilberry, DT Pat Sims, DT Brandon Thompson.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: None.

NEEDS: Secondary is main focus, with Adam Jones - coming off his best season - and Hall able to leave along with both starting safeties. They've also got to figure out which receiver to lock up. Marvin Jones would seem first choice given big-play ability; he was second to A.J. Green last season in catches and yards. Cedric Ogbuehi, their first-round pick in 2015, can replace Smith at right tackle.

AVAILABLE SALARY CAP SPACE: $38 million.

CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-13)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: C Alex Mack, OT Mitchell Schwartz, S Tashaun Gipson, WR Travis Benjamin, LB Craig Robertson, S Johnson Bademosi

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: OT Austin Pasztor, WR Terrelle Pryor, DE Scott Solomon.

NEEDS: Mack voided final three years on contract to hit open market, but there's strong chance three-time Pro Bowler re-signs with Cleveland. Team's revamped front office has made signing own free agents a priority, but at right price. Schwartz has developed into one of AFC's top right tackles, and it would be wise to lock him up. Browns lacked offensive playmakers last season and need to upgrade wide receiving corps. Suspended former Pro Bowler Josh Gordon could return, but team must add depth and deep threat if Benjamin doesn't return.

AVAILABLE SALARY CAP SPACE: $48 million.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (11-7)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: G Ramon Foster, LT Kelvin Beachum, RT Mike Adams, C Doug Legursky, RT Byron Stingily, NT Steve McLendon, DE Cam Thomas, DE Clifton Geathers, CB Antwon Blake, CB Brandon Boykin, S Will Allen, FB Will Johnson, QB Bruce Gradkowski, QB Michael Vick, LB Sean Spence, RB Jordan Todman.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: LB Terence Garvin

NEEDS: Steelers, as usual, won't be big spenders on open market, but will have to address offensive line and secondary through free agency or draft. They'd like to hold on to Beachum and perhaps Foster, though both may have priced themselves out of Pittsburgh's budget. They did keep DBs William Gay and Robert Golden. Steelers hold onto their own as well as any team in league and 2016 should be no exception.

AVAILABLE SALARY CAP SPACE: $10 million
