Aaron Rodgers admonishes 'prejudicial' comment during moment of silence

The Green Bay Packers suffered one of the most surprising losses of Aaron Rodgers’ career Sunday, but the two-time NFL MVP used part his postgame press conference to make a statement about what happened before the game.

Prior to Green Bay’s upset loss to the Lions, fans at Lambeau Field – and in NFL stadiums across the country – observed a moment of silence to honor the victims of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.

That moment was interrupted by what Rodgers called an “inappropriate” and “prejudicial” comment by a fan, and the quarterback took a stance against such behavior and for such observances.

“I think it’s important to do things like that. We’re a connected world – you know, six degrees of separation,” Rodgers told reporters. “I must admit, though, I was very disappointed by whoever the fan was who made a comment that I thought was really inappropriate during the moment of silence. It’s that kind of prejudicial ideology that I think puts us in the position we’re in today as a world.”
