Update: Jay Glazer got it right! Eric Fisher to the Chiefs

You heard it here first: Eric Fisher is a Kansas City Chief.

NFL on FOX insider Jay Glazer tweeted Wednesday that he believed the Chiefs were leaning towards the Central Michigan offensive tackle despite the general consensus belief the franchise would take Texas A&M tackle Luke Joeckel.

Sure enough, the Chiefs made Glazer a prophet Thursday. Fisher, who is 6-foot-7 and weighs over 305 pounds, possesses the nastiness that Chiefs head coach Andy Reid desires in his linemen, as Glazer explained Thursday:

Since 1967, only three other offensive linemen have been taken with the No. 1 overall pick including Ron Yary (1968), Orlando Pace (1997) and Jake Long (2008).

Fisher is the second player in Central Michigan history to be selected in the first round, joining 49ers Pro Bowl tackle Joe Staley.
