Smith-Schuster won't return to Thursday's game at Cleveland after suffering a concussion, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

    Impact

Smith-Schuster was victim to a scary hit to the head over the middle of the field during the first half and initially remained face down on the field, but he was eventually helped off and went straight to the locker room. It's proving to be a disastrous night for the Steelers, with RB James Conner (shoulder) also leaving the game while the team faces a 14-0 first-half deficit. Smith-Schuster caught two of four targets for 21 yards before leaving the game. James Washington, Johnny Holton and Tevin Jones could see increased snaps at wide receiver as a result of the injury.

    News

Smith-Schuster caught three of six targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 17-12 win over the Rams.

    Impact

Twenty of his yards came on one catch, but otherwise, Smith-Schuster wasn't able to make much impact in a game where both offenses struggled. The third-year receiver has now failed to top 50 receiving yards in three of the last four games, and he could have trouble breaking out on the road in Week 11 against the Browns.

    News

Smith-Schuster (foot) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Rams.

    Impact

Eight games into his 2019 campaign, Smith-Schuster has logged 33 catches for 459 yards and three TDs, numbers that give him decent fantasy value but don't stack up to his lofty preseason ADP, which was based on him catching passes from Ben Roethlisberger (elbow), who is now on IR. Assuming he avoids any in-game setbacks, Smith-Schuster figures to continue to see his share of targets from QB Mason Rudolph, but of late the duo's chemistry has been hit-or-miss. Additionally, the wide receiver faces the added challenge Sunday of potentially drawing the attention of talented cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

    News

Smith-Schuster (foot) is expected to play Sunday against the Rams, Dianna Russini of ESPN reports.

    Impact

Smith-Schuster was added to the Steelers' injury report Friday after logging a limited practice, but it doesn't look like his foot issue will sideline him Week 10, an outcome that will be confirmed when the team's inactives are submitted in advance of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

    News

Smith-Schuster was limited by a foot injury at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

    Impact

Smith-Schuster didn't make an appearance on the Week 10 injury report until Friday, so his status bears watching in advance of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If he's able to take the field, he'll be looking to take advantage of a Rams defense that's been tough on wide receivers, allowing 8.0 yards per target, six touchdowns and the 11th-fewest fantasy points.
