Five touches in loss Patterson ran four times for 29 yards and caught his only target for nine yards during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Cowboys.

Impact With J.D. McKissic (concussion) sidelined once again, Patterson and Jonathan Williams operated as the primary backups to Antonio Gibson. Patterson and Williams both garnered four rushing attempts, and while the former was able to outgain the latter 29-16, Williams was able to add a touchdown to his ledger -- the only rushing score of the day for Washington. The two backups appear to be splitting the work behind Gibson, but neither running back will likely carry much fantasy potential heading into Sunday's showdown with the Eagles, even if McKissic is out for a third consecutive game.

No extra work sans McKissic Patterson took one carry for two yards in Sunday's 17-15 win over Las Vegas, playing four snaps on offense.

Impact Patterson and Wendell Smallwood (five snaps, three touches) barely played behind Antonio Gibson, whose 82 percent snap share was easily a season high. It doesn't appear Patterson will get extra touches even if J.D. McKissic (concussion) misses more time, as the undrafted rookie has merely been used as Gibson's sub for early downs so far.

Quiet in limited role Patterson carried the ball seven times for 23 yards in Sunday's 27-21 win over the Panthers.

Impact Patterson played on just 13 of Washington's 67 offensive snaps, operating as the No. 3 running back behind both Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic. With both Gibson and McKissic healthy, the rookie will likely continue to see minimal work and limited snaps going forward. Washington will host Seattle in Week 12, and Patterson should remain off the fantasy radar.

Gets four more carries Patterson took four carries for seven yards in a 29-19 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Impact The undrafted rookie played five snaps (7 percent) and took one carry in each of the game's four quarters. It was a smaller workload than what Patterson got directly before the Week 9 bye, but that was in a a 17-10 loss to Denver where Antonio Gibson's shin injury flared up. While it could still be an issue again, Gibson managed 24 carries for 64 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's upset win, with no report of a setback along the way. That likely limits Patterson to a handful of touches, or perhaps even less, in Week 11 against the Panthers.

Leads team in rushing Sunday Patterson carried the ball 11 times for 46 yards and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Broncos.

Impact His numbers were modest, but the rookie led Washington in rushing yards and saw exactly as many touches as both Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic. Patterson's role figures to shrink again coming out of a Week 9 bye if Gibson, who has been playing through a shin injury, is back to 100 percent.

Impact Patterson got three touches Week 4 and four more Week 5, but it was J.D. McKissic who picked up the slack Sunday with Antonio Gibson bothered by his shin at times. McKissic finished with eight carries for 45 yards and a team-high eight catches for 65 yards, while Gibson managed 10 carries for 44 yards and two catches for no gain. Patterson was a distant third, per usual, but he could split work with McKissic in Week 7 (at Green Bay) if Gibson is absent or limited.

Impact The undrafted rookie out of Buffalo is one of three running backs left on the roster after Peyton Barber was released Tuesday morning, though it is possible Washington re-signs Barber after cutdown day (and thus avoids guaranteeing his salary). Even if Barber is brought back, the willingness to risk losing him suggests Washington is comfortable with Patterson in the No. 3 role. The rookie likely won't match Barber's contributions as a blocker or coverage man on special teams, but Patterson could get some touches on kick returns and would also offer a more explosive element if Washington ever needed to replace an injured Antonio Gibson or J.D. McKissic.
