We say: Join the club. The fans in England may be OK with watching a sporting event for three hours that ultimately ends in a tie, but those of us in the States don't really find that to be acceptable. Bengals 27, Redskins 27 was your final from London.
He said:"There's no big speech to be made. You've got to have a (expletive) attitude when you're getting your ass kicked."
We say: Trailing 20-7 at the half, Bowles clearly didn't want his Jets to be the first team to lose to the 0-7 (now 0-8) Browns. So he did what any good head coach would: He used a profanity-laced halftime tirade to turn things around.

Josh Norman rips a referee
He said:“Who is official 88? I’ve gotta know. You suck. I’m just putting it out there. We play a physical game, they know that. We come here, international game, it all goes out the window. … He needs to be reprimanded.”
We say: Norman wasn't pleased with the fact that he was flagged five times on Sunday and called out one of the field judges directly after Washington's game in London ended in a tie with the Bengals.

Bills LB isn't impressed with Rob Gronkowski
He said: "I’m more impressed with [Martellus] Bennett than Gronk," Zach Brown said. "When Tom Brady wasn’t here, you didn’t hear [Gronkowski]. But when Tom Brady comes back he knows where to place it, how to place it, and he uses Gronk’s size to his advantage. As far as blocking, no, I do not think he’s one of the best. Bennett is probably a better blocker.”
We say: Gronkowski finished with five catches for 109 yards while hauling in his team-record 69th touchdown in New England's blowout win over the Bills, so we're not exactly sure what Mr. Brown is seeing.
Melvin Gordon explains what led to his running down Wade Phillips
He said: "I was running a bullet, and I think Von Miller had pushed me out, and I didn't know I hurt him. I didn't even know it was me. I hope he's OK.You're in a game, and usually if it's a player (on the sideline), they usually catch you, regardless of what side it's on. They try to catch you. I just kind of ran into him, and I couldn't stop. I was going too fast. I'm really sorry about that, especially when I found out that I was the one who kind of hurt him. There wasn't any mean intention on that.
We say: The collision looked scary at the time, but Phillips is out of the hospital and is expected back at work tomorrow, according to Broncos PR.
Derek Carr's performance almost brought him to tears
He said: "Not in a weird way, just like that's stuff you dream of as a kid. I'm just blessed."
We say: Carr told reporters he nearly cried after being told he threw for more yards in a game than any other quarterback in team history. Wonder what his reaction will be if he ends up winning the league MVP award?

Sean Payton doesn't care how it looks
He said:"It doesn't really have to be aesthetically pleasing to be effective. The key is winning."
We say: New Orleans toned down its normally prolific passing attack and used a heavy dose of the run to get its huge win over Seattle.

Mohamed Sanu on stepping up in the clutch
He said:"We've got the greatest receiver in the NFL, but we've got other great guys in that room, too," Sanu said. "When our number is called upon, we went out there to do what we do."
We say: Sanu caught five passes for 50 yards on Atlanta's final possession, including the touchdown that gave the Falcons a 33-32 win over the Packers.
Rex Ryan has praise for Tom Brady
He said: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen him this hot."
We say:You just knew this beating was coming. Brady completed 22 of 33 attempts for 315 yards and 4 TDs in New England's 41-25 win over the Bills. The victory avenged the Patriots' only loss of the season.

Cam Newton doesn't feel safe
He said:“It’s really taking the fun out of the game for me. At times I don't even feel safe. And enough is enough. I plan on talking to commissioner (Roger) Goodell about this. And I don't know what I have to do."
We say: Newton had plenty to say after getting a win over the Cardinals, but it was mostly about how he doesn't feel protected by the officials. We'll let you know if that meeting with the commissioner ends up taking place.
