Moves to COVID list Elliott was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Impact Elliott is considered a high-risk close contact to Marlon Humphrey, who tested positive for the virus Monday, and he'll need to isolate for five days. If Elliott tests negative through Saturday, he'll be eligible to play in Sunday's road matchup against Indianapolis. Elliott has rarely left the field this year, but if he's forced to sit out, either Anthony Levine or Jordan Richards will start in his place.

Seven tackles in rivalry game Elliott had a team-high seven tackles (four solo) and half a sack in Sunday's 28-24 loss to Pittsburgh.

Impact Elliott split a sack with Chris Board and provided sure tackling out of Baltimore's secondary. The Ravens' offense did a good job of controlling time of possession, but Baltimore ultimately came up short on the scoreboard, falling two games out of the AFC North lead.

Next man up Following the release of safety Earl Thomas on Sunday, Elliott is expected to step in as the team's starting free safety for 2020, Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Impact Coach John Harbaugh all but cemented Elliott's status Monday, stating that "[Elliott's] worked hard all through the offseason, and it's his time." Elliott suffered a knee injury Week 6 of last year that forced him to spend the remainder of the season on injured reserve. In the six games before he got hurt, the 23-year-old only supplied six tackles, primarily in a special-teams role. Even though Elliott lacks experience, the fact that he's been thrust into a starting role elevates his IDP value tremendously.
