Impact Rodgers played only 15 snaps in Sunday's contest, but he did manage to record his first reception as a professional. His snap count tied him with fellow reserve wideouts Randall Cobb and Malik Taylor but was far behind the Packers' top three wide receivers, and the bulk of those came late in the game. As such, don't consider the rookie more than a depth option for the time being.

Impact The stat line is respectable, but it's worth noting that Rodgers had five of his six catches with the third-string offense, including three on the final drive of the game. The rookie third-round pick doesn't appear likely to get many snaps on offense Week 1 at New Orleans, with Randall Cobb presumably taking most of the slot work.

Impact Rodgers did not do a lot in his first appearance as a pro, but he did get a chance to show what he could do on both offense and special teams. With Randall Cobb back in the fold and three other receivers ahead of him on the depth chart, it seems unlikely Rodgers will play anything more than a situational role on offense early on. However, his spot on the roster is secure, and he is in line to be the Packers' primary punt returner.

Impact Per Schneidman, Rodgers is "a natural slot receiver" and "can also serve as a gadget piece out of the backfield on jet sweeps, reverses and other motion action," so his skill set should complement the more experienced receivers on the roster. It's too early to tell exactly what type of snap count Rodgers is looking at in his rookie season, but he'll have a chance to open the season in the No. 4 spot on the depth chart. While his role on offense is unsettled, it seems likely Rodgers will be a key contributor on special teams, as the Packers don't yet have a designated return man and Rodgers took back 70 kicks -- including 68 punts -- during his four years at Clemson.

Impact The Packers finally add some pass-catching help through the draft, nabbing Rodgers out of Clemson. Green Bay has plenty of big-bodied receivers alongside Davante Adams such as Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Rodgers is a change of pace in that regard, checking in at 5-foot-9 and 212 pounds. He uses his running back-esque build as an asset after the catch and is a YAC machine in the short and intermediate passing game. Rodgers led Clemson in receiving as a senior with 77 catches on 103 targets, totaling 1,020 yards and seven touchdowns. He can immediately challenge for slot snaps in the Green Bay offense.
