Asante Samuel Jr. - Provides offseason updateSamuel (shoulder) has been dealing with "stinger symptoms," which caused him to miss the majority of the 2024 season, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
ImpactSamuel was limited to just four games in 2024 due to a shoulder injury, recording 13 total tackles (11 solo) and two passes defensed. The cornerback said that he's "feeling better" and that he wants to return to the Chargers in 2025. Samuel will be a free agent this offseason and it's unclear where his next destination will be, but he's confident he'll be ready for the offseason program, wherever that is.

Dameon Pierce - Limited duty in wild-card roundPierce had two carries for 15 yards in Saturday's 32-12 victory over the Chargers in the wild-card playoff round.
ImpactPierce had a monster day in Week 18 of the regular season, when Joe Mixon was limited to one series, but that changed in the opening round of the playoffs. He played just six snaps. The addition of Mixon was expected to limit Pierce's usage and it played out way. He was on the field for just 16.1 percent of the offensive snaps this season and carried the ball 40 times over 11 games played. He's under contract for another season but so it Mixon, so Pierce is headed for another season with a marginal role.

Ka'imi Fairbairn - Twelve points in winFairbairn converted three of three field-goal attempts and all three extra-point kicks in Saturday's 32-12 wild-card round win over the Chargers.
ImpactFairbairn had a shaky finish to the regular season, which was partly due to an underperforming offense, but he was back on form in the opening playoff round. Ironically, Houston's defense, which scored a touchdown and forced four turnovers, contributed more to Fairbairn's successful day than the offense. This was the 10th time in 18 games that Fairbairn registered double-digit scoring.
JANUARY 12ROTOWIRE
Diontae Johnson - One grab in playoff winJohnson caught his lone target for 12 yards in Saturday's 32-12 win over the Chargers in the wild-card round.
ImpactJohnson appeared in his second game for the Texans since the club claimed him off waivers prior to Week 17. His 16 snaps was the fifth among Houston wideouts, which is natural given he's been exposed to the system for a relatively short time.
JANUARY 12ROTOWIRE
Xavier Hutchinson - Key catch in playoff winHutchinson caught his lone target for 34 yards in Saturday's 32-12 win over the Chargers in the wild-card round.
ImpactThe one target was on brand for Hutchinson, but the catch turned out to be a game-changing event. Houston's offense was somnambulant over its first five possessions until quarterback C.J. Stroud found Hutchinson on a 3rd-and-16 to extend a drive. That jump-started the Texans, who went on to score a touchdown and take a 7-6 lead. Hutchinson is locked in at fourth on the depth chart as the Texans prepare for the next playoff round, when the face the Chiefs.
JANUARY 12ROTOWIRE
Cade Stover - Four catches in winStover caught four of four targets for 28 yards in Saturday's 32-12 win over the Chargers in the wild-card round.
ImpactStover set season-highs in catches and yards in the playoff game. He finished with more catches and yards than starter Dalton Schultz (two catches, 23 yards). Stover's playing time could take a hit if Teagan Quitoriano (calf) is activated off injured reserve for next week's divisional-round matchup against Kansas City.
